We started Yaafta because finding a genuinely good restaurant in Karachi shouldn't require scrolling through paid ads and outdated listings for 20 minutes. Yaafta is written by people who live and eat in Karachi.
Price-to-Experience. Was the whole experience worth what you paid?
How accurate was the hype? Many restaurants arrive with a lot of buzz from social media, influencers or word of mouth. This asks whether the place lived up to it. It measures the gap between reputation and experience, not anyone's recommendation.
Would you tell a friend? Would you actually send someone you know there?
Written reviews need a signed-in account. That ties a review to an account, which makes fake or anonymous reviews harder. It doesn't guarantee an opinion is accurate.
A review is the reviewer's own words. Restaurants can't rewrite, edit or remove it.
Where a listing shows a Google rating, it comes from Google and isn't part of the Yaafta Score.
Families planning a weekend lunch, people picking a spot near the office, students watching their budget, and visitors who want a local's shortlist.
Looking for a comfortable, kid-friendly spot for a weekend lunch without the guesswork.
Need a reliable lunch spot near the office or a decent place to take a client for dinner.
Want good food on a budget without ending up somewhere disappointing.
New to Karachi or just visiting a different area and need a trustworthy local recommendation.
How we score
Food quality, portion size, value for money, service and hygiene are each scored on their own, not lumped into one vague star rating.
The review is written by the person who visited. No rewrites from the restaurant, and no "sponsored content" label hiding paid promotion.
Listings are flagged for re-review every 6 months, or right away when a reader reports a significant change.
